The Panhellenic community at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign is proud to be the largest women-run Registered Student Organization (RSO) on campus. The Panhellenic community continues to achieve a GPA higher than that of the overall campus. Our members represent all academic colleges on campus with various career aspirations, and are engaged leaders in almost every facet of campus life!
Whether you’re navigating recruitment, chapter involvement, or just trying to learn more, we’re here to answer your questions (no question is too small — we promise!) and provide helpful resources along the way.
What to Expect
when Registering for
Primary Recruitment!
Registration for Primary Recruitment costs $65 at the time of registration!
​
Why $65? This helps the Recruitment Team pay for costs that are associated with planning recruitment while purchasing your PNM tote bag and shirts!
​
As a Potential New Member, you receive a tote bag with a booklet with house information, an umbrella, and a couple of extra goodies! You will also receive TWO Panhellenic t-shirts to wear during Open House and First Invite!

While there is no style guide, we recommend wearing what makes you feel the most authentic. We have you covered for the first two rounds of recruitment - the last 2 rounds are all you! From blouses and slacks to dresses and heels, we can't wait to see you!

This team is all about supporting our Recruitment Counselors — the friendly faces who guide potential new members through the sorority recruitment process. Maddie and Ava work to organize interviews and leading training to running daily meetings during Recruitment, this position helps make sure every Recruitment Counselor is prepared, confident, and supported. They’re also a go-to resource, mentor, and behind-the-scenes leader who keeps everything running smoothly!

This duo is the tech wizard behind Primary Recruitment! They manage the recruitment software, train chapter leaders on how to use it, and make sure everything runs smoothly behind the scenes — from submitting invite lists to tracking PNM attendance. Whether it’s day or night, they’re the go-to for any technical questions and keep all the digital details organized and up to date.

Working closely with the Public Relations Director and campus staff, they help make sure every recruitment event looks polished, professional, and full of Illini spirit.

Jaymeson helps to keeps recruitment running on budget and on track! She manages all finances related to Primary Recruitment — from building the budget to handling registration fees and organizing donations.

Primary Recruitment comprises of our 18 National Panhellenic Chapters!
*Those who were previously initiated into an NPC chapter are not eligible for Primary Recruitment.
**Letters of Recommendation are not required by the NPC chapters on the University of Illinois campus. Individual houses may be contacted in regards to recommendation as the Panhellenic Council does not utilize these.
